On scientific buildings for schools and universities, roof fans for corrosion-resistant extraction are often installed for the laboratory fume cupboards in the rooms for chemistry, biology and physics classes. Why shouldn't it be something special: COLASIT plastic roof fans fulfil the energy efficiency requirements according to ErP (Ecodesign) directive. The smart plug-and-play system with an attached IP66 control unit makes installation and start-up very simple. A roof fan is continuously exposed to wind and rain. The waterproof construction of a COLASIT roof fan is engineered against heavy rain and is ideally suited for such environmental conditions.

The built-in PM motors - with an efficiency class level IE5 - are an advanced development of the well-known EC technology. Together with an IE2 frequency converter, the complete system achieves the best classification in IES2 according to DIN EN IEC 61800-9-2:2018. The power consumption is reduced by additonal 10%. The SFP (specific fan power) value usually improves by one category.
